Every Tuesday

9:30am - 12pm

£5 per person

A sociable community group run by The Dart and Leisure centre team.

Come along on a Tuesday morning and choose to use the gym, take part in arts-based activities or tai chi. Complete your visit with a sociable visit to the coffee shop.

No need to book in advance, just simply turn up and enjoy!

Start Time for Activities

Tai-chi session - 9:30am (Will last 20-30 minutes)

Art activities  - 10:30am - 12pm

*Please note, that activities will not go ahead during half-term, summer and Christmas holidays

6th May - Petals Under Pressure: The Art of Hammered Flowers
Flowers under pressure


The activity will involve creating simple flower artwork using hammers as another method to press the flowers, embodying the beauty of the moment!

 4th June - Seaside Postcards Collages

This activity provides an opportunity for you to be creative and use your imagination to create a collage artwork on a postcard. It can be anything from the sunny seaside to exotic holidays and timesnaps of your experience that remind you of summer!

11th June - Painting with Music and Materials

This group activity combines visual art with movement, through music. You will be able to express yourself and explore mark-making with a range of different materials from sticks to feathers!

18th June - God's Eye: A woven activity

Inspired by a traditional craft from South America, this activity involves making woven ‘God’s eyes’ (‘Ojo de Dios’ in Spanish) using wool and sticks to create wall-hanging art!

25h June - Colour Sensory

A simple activity that works well in pairs. You will have the freedom to explore painting your favourite colours using your hands (Don't worry, you will be wearing gloves!). You are welcome to bring a family member or friend to have as your painting partner!

2nd July - Outside Phone Photography (Depending on weather!)

Spend the morning exploring nature and learn more about the settings you have on your phone to capture fantastic photographs on the tips of your fingers!

9th July - Collagraph Printing

Collagraph prints are a creative and experimental form of printmaking, with printing plates made from many different materials, including cardboard, yarn, fabric, leaves, or masking tape. This activity is a great way for you to use up scraps and encourages the use of recycled materials!

16th July - Flower Meadows

Tap into your creative skills and create a meadow of flowers on paper with a range of materials from colour tissue paper to felt to represent a flower bloom field!

23rd July - Song Makers and Summer Party!

Join us for the last activity where you will sing along to well-known songs together, even when you don’t know all the words! Then bring your own food and soft drinks for a last catch-up and laughs before breaking up for the 6 week summer holidays!
