Following a cosy break for October half term, we'll return to embrace the magic and joy of the winter season through the expressive qualities of watercolour.
Held in the bright and welcoming foyer of The Dart, our friendly class offers the perfect start to your day – a creative haven where you can learn new skills, relax your mind, and connect with fellow art enthusiasts.
The course is designed to be practical, allowing you to actively practise and refine your painting skills whether you are a beginner or a seasoned artist.
Choose either the Monday or Friday sessions, giving you the flexibility to participate in the course whatever your schedule!

This course is for Adults aged 18 and over only.
We also have a coffeeshop in our centre if you would like to get refreshments before the class but we suggest doing this 15 minutes beforehand.

Still Life - 5 Week Course
An intimate study in soft, translucent watercolour, bringing a quiet elegance to a simple arrangement of a various of subjects from flowers to food. The work focuses on subtle colour transitions and the gentle texture achievable through layering thin washes.

Life on the Farm - 6 Week Course
A translucent watercolour study centred on the theme of the working farm and its animals. The painting uses fluid washes to convey the textures of the land and the sky, highlighting the simple, yet profound, relationship between the farmer, the cows, sheep, or poultry, and the changing seasons. It’s a celebration of essential rural existence.
